The Vierkantsbrug ( Square Bridge ) is visible in the left corner of the picture. It is demolished toward the enf of 19th century. Why the bridge was called Vierkant although it was not square as it was ? There was a long gone square building ( Vierkant ) during the old days of VOC existed just to west of the Culemborg lookout which the bridge finally took his name.

It is located on the west bank of the mouth of Ciliwunbg River in Pasar Ikan area ( Fish Market ) on the northen cost of Jakarta.
